Buy Wholesale

Are you the owner or buyer for a retail gift shop, boutique, or jewelry shop? Are you looking for unique jewelry items hand-made by a Washington-based artist? If so, you should be interested in my Wholesale Purchase Program.

Malachite Set
This malachite and silver pendant and earrings set retailed for $159. It sold at a gallery in Twisp, WA in December 2020.

I offer many pendants (with beaded necklaces or chains), earrings (mounted on cards), bracelets, and rings for resale in qualified retail shops. My program is simple and flexible, with a minimum purchase requirement, free shipping, and a replacement policy that lets you trade in items that have not sold, keeping your shop’s inventory fresh.

I need to stress here that each and every piece of my jewelry is entirely hand-made by me in either my Malaga, WA home-based jewelry shop or my mobile jewelry shop. I use only quality materials, including solid silver (fine (999) and sterling (925 and 935)), copper, niobium, and occasionally 24k or 18k gold. I do not use filled or plated metals. I use various metalsmithing tools and techniques to cut, texture, form, and attach metals and stones and then finish the pieces by polishing, antiquing, and/or applying patinas. The only pre-made items I include in my jewelry are chains for pendants and sometimes ear wires and nuts for earrings; everything else is completely hand made. These are high quality pieces that would not fit into the inventories of discount or costume jewelry shops or counters.

Tibetan Agate Tube and Onyx Earrings
Most of my earring styles are produced in quantities suitable for gift shops to stock and have on hand. Although every pair is different due to the differences in beads and handworked metal, they are similar enough for repeat or multiple sales.

Here are some key points for my wholesale program:

  • Wholesale customers must have a retail shop with a physical presence that is open to the public at least 4 days a week. My work looks much better in person than it does in photographs and it sells much better in person than online. (I’m sorry, but my wholesale program is not available for resale at art shows, fairs, or other temporary venues.) I list the retail shops that sell my work on the Buy in Person page of this site.
  • Wholesale customers must submit a copy of their reseller permits for me to keep on file. Sales tax will be charged for any purchases made by customers who have not submitted a copy of their reseller permit.
  • Wholesale prices are discounted 40% off retail prices. Wholesale customers may price items in their shops as they see fit, keeping in mind that I may be selling similar items online or at art shows at retail prices.
  • Wholesale orders are shipped free to addresses in the United States. They may be shipped to addresses outside the U.S. for the actual cost of shipping.
  • Wholesale customers must make an initial purchase of $250 with subsequent purchases of at least $150. A minimum of two purchases a year is required to remain in the wholesale program. Minimum dollar amounts are based on wholesale pricing. Payment must be received at the time of purchase.
  • I offer an item replacement policy. If a current wholesale customer purchases an item and it does not sell within 6 months, it may be sent back for replacement with another item of equal or lesser value. The customer will need to pay shipping costs to return the item and have the replacement shipped out. (I recommend doing this in batches once a year; if you time it with another purchase, I pay shipping back to you.) Please note that I cannot accept replacement requests for customers who have dropped out of the wholesale program by failing to make minimum purchase requirements as discussed above. In addition, I cannot take back items 18 months or more after purchase; the replacement policy window is 6 to 18 months after purchase.

I cannot offer any exceptions to these rules. I am not interested in selling on consignment at this time.

If you’re interested in opening a wholesale account, give me a call at 509-699-8044. If I do not answer, leave a message that includes your shop name, your name, your phone number, and the kind of jewelry pieces you’re interested in.
